My Story - "I Make a Difference"

"I enjoyed reading "Farther In and Deeper Down" and could not wait to hear what spiritual truths and principles Dr. Sheila Bailey had to share win her presentation, "Farther Up and Deeper Down - You Make a Difference." The conference was so relaxed it reminded me of girlfriends getting together offering words of wisdom and encouragement as they serve in ministry.
The women's conference held at Nu Corinthian Baptist Church on April 4, 2009 served as confirmation for me in my leadership role. I was recently appointed in a new ministry role working with children, a position that I would not have chosen for myself. After much prayer and Bible study, I realized that it's not what I think I should be doing, but what God has planned for me to do in service for the kingdom is all that really matters. God has revealed to me several ways that I make a difference and I have a purpose in life...
