Sheila B. Ministries Fundraiser and Development Update
Christmas is a time for family, festivities and friends as we also celebrate the birth of Christ. So, on Sunday, December 19, 2010, family and friends of Sheila B. Ministries gathered at the home of Alicia Brown Young, Director of Development/Fundraising for a Christmas fellowship and fundraiser. Guests enjoyed fabulous food and exhilarating fellowship while learning about the opportunity to partner with and support Sheila B. Ministries.Pastor Bryan Carter, Shenikwa Cager and President Bailey made spirited appeals on behalf of the ministry encouraging guests to explore ways to support the mission and vision of the ministry. Another highlight of the afternoon was the overwhelming
expression of love by guests as over 100 toys were collected for the children of Vogel Alcove Shelter for Battered Women. Because the Ministry is committed to meeting the needs of all women in all seasons, Sheila and fellow board members were thrilled
and honored to present these toys to the shelter on behalf of the ministry.
More of these fundraisers will be held at local venues and homes to promote and solicit supporters of the Ministry.
